I was told the 7 of hearts story by my united church minister and I was inspired
My united church minister, Leslie gave me ( and others ) the card. She also told us all the 7 of hearts story. To me it was very touching. As she said, you are not a JUST. We are all special and unique in every way and we can all be good to ourselves and others. ❤️
I received this 7 of hearts card from my Pastor this Sunday Feb. 22 2026. My story happened last year Dec. 22nd 2025. It was chucking it down rain and my friend and I were parking in front of our favorite restaurant to treat ourselves to " Sticky toffee pudding". (Our shared ritual each Christmas). 😊
A woman in a walker dressed all in a beautiful white outfit approached my friends car. She was in her eighties and absolutely beautiful. She had decorated her walker in gold stars and lovely tasteful streamers trailed down in a golden " flow". We both had to tell her how beautiful she looked. It was as though the light was coming through her on this dull, rainy and cold Dec. afternoon. She smiled a radiant smile and her eyes listened with joy. You two have made my day she stated. She opened up her bag and told us to pick from her bag of handmade swartzakoff crystal beaded bracelets that she had handmade. We didn't want to as we were a little stunned at how beautiful they were but she insisted and we picked two each!! Such a lovely gift for only stating the truth in the moment " when love meets love" along life's journey!! What a beautiful blessing!!! Everytime I wear these brackets I think of Andrea. Thank you Andrea!! ❤️ ❤️
When I was 15 years old I began dating this boy, things quickly turned for the worst. Throughout the time that we dated I became subjected to domestic abuse. I was mentally, physically, emotionally, and verbally abused for 6 months. My mental health was at an all time low, I had low self-esteem, and all the trust I had in others was gone. That was until my Junior year of high school came along, that boy and I broke up and I was part of Hope Squad as I've always loved to learn how to help my mental health and help others with theirs. One of my friends was in that class and had convinced me to go on the field trip with him to a Youth Summit called "Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships" At the time I was still in denial with what I had endured. While I was there I learned that what I had gone through was all abuse, I knew what physical abuse was but didn't know what mental, emotional, or verbal abuse looked like. While at the Summit I talked to an older gentleman and explained to him how much of an impact they made, it truly was a sign from God, and if there was a way to become part of the group (Teens Against Dating Abuse). I was accepted into the program and over the years they've helped me find my voice and build my confidence. They've helped me find a healthy outlet by sharing my story on their podcast, being a keynote speaker at the Youth Summit, and even speaking on the local news. Who would've thought one field trip was enough to change one person's life forever? When I was 16 I had the mindset of "I'm just the girl who was abused" now I know I AM A SURVIVOR!
This morning, I ran out of time to wait for my coffee after ordering, needing to get on a call I was meant to be leading. I had walked across the hotel lobby and started the call, and mid-conversation, this super kind man dropped off my abandoned coffee, along with a little stack of napkins and sugar packets (3 varieties!!) in the subtlest way. It was so unnecessarily kind. It made my whole day. I’ll drop off this 7 of Hearts card tomorrow morning.
