My niece passed away days after giving birth to her first child. She and my sister in law had a relationship that all mothers wish for. Our family was devastated that day. My sister in law not only lost her daughter but also her bestfriend. She didn’t have much time to grieve because she immediately had become her new grandbabies caretaker. He is a little over a year now and is the sweetest and most loved child that I know. He has his moms beautiful smile that lights up the room. My sister in law has been through every parents nightmare, but has been one of strongest people I know. She is such a great role model not only for myself but also for my teenage daughter. Anytime my daughter is having a bad day all she wants to do is go see Aunt Deb and the baby. Debra probably doesn’t realize the impact that she has not only on my daughter and I , but to so many other people. She is truly an inspiration.
