One of my kind neighbor

oh my God, this book has made me realize how important you are in life and I always try to help anybody I can if they need my help. I’m always there for them. I do the best I can. helping somebody makes you feel so good in life there’s always a reason what you’re on this earth for and I think I’m here to help people and definitely help animals that are so innocent and kind and lovable. That’s what I love to do.

Kathy Leighton

I went to the Maine Youth Leadership seminar a week ago and Kathy Leighton shared Jon Petz’s story. At first I thought it was just going to be another story that I’m just going to forget, then the cards were handed out. Once I had one I put it in my wallet to eventually give to someone. Then just like all other things, I forgot about the card… until today. Finding the card reminded me of the story and now I want to see how I can spread the word that EVERYONE can make a difference in someone’s life. As soon as I get the chance I will give someone the card and hopefully they will also share their story and give away the card.

A friend at work, Alicia

Alicia told me to read “significance in simple moments” after a conversation we had where I shared how discouraged I was with how people were treating each other in my work team. She also gave me a 7 of hearts. The book helped me change my perspective and reminded me that there are good people, like Jon, intentionally making a difference every day to value people. And that gives me hope.

Kathy Leighton

I went to a Maine Youth Leadership program and after a speech about the significance this card has the staff starting handing the cards out. I hope to give to somebody that I don’t know, just so they can have a little bit of purpose in their day.

Jon Petz

I received the card during the 2024 Developmental Disabilities Services Statewide Training. I appreciated Jon’s use of mediated dialogue and humor. I will give the card to a random person making a difference.

Jon the magician

I’m a PM. I started in this field back in 1989. The story behind the 7 of hearts make it so easy share! I’m happy I got a chance to hear the story.

Jon at a work conference

I had the pleasure of attending a conference where Jon was the emcee. It was so touching to hear the story about how and why Jon started sharing the 7 of Heart cards. I plan to pass it on to someone whose quiet magic makes the lives of her students and their families better every day.
