How?
I will pass it on to a friend who made a difference in my life.
So, here is my significant moment. I was working at a dead end job in the mall my senior year in college having just ended a relationship (not my choice). I was feeling pretty down and a stranger walked up to me at my kiosk and pulled out some paper and some kid scissors from his pocket. His teenage children were saying, “Dad, no, not again”. I watched as he turned the paper into a long string of people holding hands and he handed it to me. I can’t even remember the words he said to me but my whole attitude changed that night in that one moment. I felt I had purpose and meaning and I left work happy instead of deeply sad. That one moment changed my life. I quit the dead end job the next day and have had lots of moments in between that have led me to my dream job.

How?
My dad Richard, in Nashville TN, sent to me. A great book, with an exceptional message, and endless possibilities. Kind of like a Chicken Soup for the 7 of Hearts Soul 🙂
I will be giving the signed book with card to my 6th grade daughter Abby’s art teacher, “Ms. D.” in Springboro. She leads an after-school group called STAND, which promotes self-esteem, anti-bullying, and kindness to others. She has made a tremendous impact on the students, and I want her to know that it does not go un-noticed. Makes a great teacher gift, wish I could be there to see her open it. As my daughter put it, “she might happy-cry!”

I am giving this 7 of Hearts to Natalie Crede.
Natalie has been championing Safelite’s People Powered and Customer Driven journey and she knows that none of us are “just a … (fill in the blank)” . Every person & every position play a role in making the world we live in a better place, one small but significant moment at a time. Natalie gets that and I am grateful.

How?
I am giving my 7 of Hearts to my sweet sister in law Debra Stockstill. She has been through a lot this past year with the loss of her daughter. She is raising her precious grandson and is just an inspiration to myself and my daughter. She is the sweetest and most genuine person I know.
My niece passed away days after giving birth to her first child. She and my sister in law had a relationship that all mothers wish for. Our family was devastated that day. My sister in law not only lost her daughter but also her bestfriend. She didn’t have much time to grieve because she immediately had become her new grandbabies caretaker. He is a little over a year now and is the sweetest and most loved child that I know. He has his moms beautiful smile that lights up the room. My sister in law has been through every parents nightmare, but has been one of strongest people I know. She is such a great role model not only for myself but also for my teenage daughter. Anytime my daughter is having a bad day all she wants to do is go see Aunt Deb and the baby. Debra probably doesn’t realize the impact that she has not only on my daughter and I , but to so many other people. She is truly an inspiration.
You may like this as well as I did.
