The journey of cards travelling around the world.
On the second day of school my teacher was waiting to give this card to that was hanging on her whiteboard
I plan to give this card to a student who has genuinely made someone else’s life better by doing the right thing or going out of there way to be kind to someone.

My mom, Leslie is the kindest person that works hard in life. She works so hard to be a supportive friend and mentor to me and my sister. She is always in our corner and our biggest cheerleader. She works hard to help her dad. My grandpa is losing his memory and she is making extra time for him all while finding him the best supports and care team for when she can’t be there. She works hard at work. She enrolls students at the new student welcome center. They have enrolled nearly 2,500 kids in 7 months. These families speak other languages and have different ideas of what their students need. She shows up daily for everyone else so it’s important she knows she has made a difference in so many lives, but definitely mine. She is kind and works so hard! Thanks for making a difference, Mom. ❤️

I got this card on my third day of work as a school psychologist. Third day of my career. So it’s terrifying, exciting, and overwhelming. Receiving this card means something to me and I hope it does for those who follow.
I received this card at the Olentangy Local School District convocation for the 23-24 school year after hearing Jon Petz speak and share the story of the card. I loved the story he shared and the connections he made throughout his speech. As an educator, it was very moving to hear the significance and reflect on how everything I do in my classroom can make a difference in my students lives.
