I received my card from our wonderful administration for Moore Public Schools in Moore Oklahoma. I am looking forward to passing on my card. I have recently found out a dear friend has gained her wings and wish I could have been there with the family. This time of year is so stressful on so many and there are so many deserving families out there that could use a pick my up. Want them all to know just because someone is not present in being in your life they are there with you in spirit. Working for the schools you see and hear so many heart wrenching stories and just all around good ones that deserve their stories to be told. This book Significance in Simple Moments has touch my heart and soul. I cried while reading it and have mentioned it to my kids. I told them they need to read it. I believe all that was written. We need to make more time to be present with family and friends and not so much time spent on devices etc. Thanks for giving me this card, I look forward to passing it on soon.
I’m giving the 7 of Hearts to Patrick. For always helping out with whatever is needed! He’s a great team player and is always around for his fellow coworkers whether it be a 1:1, group or some PC needs he’s willing to help and has a great attitude while doing it!
All 1,500+ staff of the district were gathered for the dreaded beginning-of-the-year meeting. Many of us, I’m sure, were thinking about all of the work that needed to be done before the students arrive on the first day of school and hoping that the required meeting wouldn’t last too long. Little did we know that we were in for laughter, amazement, and inspiration orchestrated by Jon Petz. The message of “Significance in the Simple Moments” prepared us to again make a difference in the lives of the students we were about to influence in the new school year. It was an unforgettable message that gave us a new look at the importance of who we are the difference we can make, and a message that we could pass on! We choose to be the 7-of-hearts in others’ lives!
I was a truck driver for 30 years. I have always had a heart to teach children. I have that opportunity as a Sped teacher. I believe all can learn and I believe that “I AM” the teacher who can teach them.
Getting ready for Christmas over Thanksgiving, feeling thankful to have an opportunity to impact student lives every day.
