How?
I received the book from a best friend I have know n since kindergarten when I was going through some troubling times in my life.
I am a 52 year old man who on 10-11-15 gave himself the best gift anyone could ever receive, sobriety. I have come to find out that alcoholism is a DISEASE that many people suffer from, but can be treated, not cured if we have the desire to stop drinking and take that first step into an AA meeting. Since being sober I have had some significant events happen that if I was still drinking I am sure the alcohol would have killed me. I have chosen to turn my will and my life over to the care of a higher power who I choose to call God. Yes I still have pain and struggles this is what is called life. I have just learned how to cope with them in an easier softer way, thy will be done. And reading Significance In Simple Moments has confirmed this. My motto each day is “I am reasonably happy today” I am this way if I continue to wake up each day sober. I have a wonderful support group of family and friends that make all things right.. I know if I do the next right thing then I am on a path that will continue to make me the good person I know I am. I could go on forever but in a nut shell this is my story. If you live life today and not worry about tomorrow you too can be reasonably happy today. God speed.

How?
Som1 at my office and I will also pass it to som1 at our office who I feel went above and beyond to help som1 feel special or appreciated.
After seeing a positive OUT OF STOCK report this morning, I took the time to send out an email thanking everyone involved with this aspect of our distribution company. Once this email was received, a positive email chain began with members of the company that generally don’t get along and or see eye to eye. This went all the way to the top of our company, with the owners responding and taking notice of everyone’s hard work and devotion to the task at hand. Like with many companies across the country, gratitude and appreciation for one employees hard work is seldom recognized. Today there is a sense of positivity and team unity amongst the employees here at our company and believe me, it is much needed!!! thank you.

How?
Received from Maine Youth Leadership
I’m an ER doc and director of 3 ER’s where I live. I carry the 7 of Hearts card in my scrubs to remind me that the little things I do during a shift matter. It’s easy to get burned out working in a high stress environment. This card helps me remember the importance of what I say and how I act, regardless of how tired or stressed I am. I was so moved by the book that I purchased multiple decks of cards and will be passing them out to all of the ER nurses, docs, and PAs that I work with.
The past year has been an extremely difficult one for me and I have been not so kind to those closest to me. Stacey has persisted in attempting to keep our friendship alive and I admire her for that. When I wanted to pull away, she reached out and grabbed on tight. By her taking the time to share this 7 of hearts moment from years ago, it reminded me what friendship is. I thank her, I love her and I will pass this on!
There are times when people come into your life unexpectedly (like due to having toothpaste confiscated by airport security) and yet, as equally unexpected, have a significantly positive impact on your life. Kate’s persistence in making the sale and devotion to her faith were all that was needed for God to get me to once again focus my attention on Him. My life has been greatly enriched by her simple act of persistence and for that I pass along this 7 of hearts.
Diane is one of those priceless friends. Diane is one of the most unassuming, kind hearted, and fun loving women that I have been blessed to know and have in my life. A few summers ago, Diane’s life was in transition and so was mine, although very different types of transitions, and she regularly called me to lay out at the pool. I do not think that Diane realized how much those hours together meant to me, but that simple act had a profound impact on my happiness that summer and for that I pass along this 7 of hearts to her.

I received this at my companies end of year seminar and I have just the perfect person to share this with.
After reading this I realized I do make an impact. As a youth volunteer with the local Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts I am making an impact. I want to share that joy of realizing I’m important with someone else.

How?
I was gifted this book and wonderfully sweet words about how my great sista friend, Stacey, values me!
I’m taking a moment to share a few words about a fabulous woman and my great friend, Stacey! Stacey is a very loyal and grateful person. She strives for harmony and love among those important to her. She is selfless, kind, giving and generous to all! And, she’s super fun to be around, too! These make up the some of the best qualities that one could ask for in a great friend. Which is why she is one of my greatest, and I value our friendship tremendously! Stac, you deserve the happiest and best that life has to offer! God blessed me with a friend like you and I don’t take that for granted one bit! Love you, sista!!! xoxo–Jill
Jill is always willing to listen and provide sound advise. She is a trusted confidant and I know that I can always count on her, which is significantly valuable and the reason I pass along the 7 of hearts to her.
