How?
Received the book and card at our annual meeting.
Thank you for the opportunity you gave me. I learned so much working with you and will never forget all that I learned. The opportunity helped me find my self-esteem, self-confidence and a sense of self-worth. All these things I had lost due to unfortunate circumstances I had chosen for myself. You made a difference in my life and that of my children.

How?
I received this card from Sheryl after helping her with a skill fair at Edgerton Hospital. This is an event where we do mandatory education for all of our staff and Sheryl supports this endeavor making it efficient and fun. I have chosen to pass it along to "Skeeter", one of our EVS staff at the hospital.
This card sat on my desk for a few days while I pondered who to give it to or even if I wanted to participate. Then Merle “Skeeter” as she prefers to be called, made a difference by the grace and poise she displayed after suffering a terrible personal loss. I was reminded by her of how a hospital is a community of people serving the community that surrounds the building where we happen to be located. Within these walls we experience life together. With respect…….Bobby.

How?
Ann Mattingly, our Family Resource Coordinator
Ann goes above and beyond for our students. She is the Family Resource Director for our large elementary school. She makes sure our students have clothes, school supplies, and the support they need. She administers our Angel Tree program at Christmas and our weekly Backpack food program. She goes on home visits to help students and their families get the help they need. As an administrator, I rely on her daily to help students and parents. I realize that I take her for granted sometimes. But I know most schools are not fortunate enough to have a “Miss Ann”. The other night, while I was at Walmart, she and her daughter were shopping for a student who had not received an Angel Tree gift. Last night, she organized a Shop with the Shriners event and went shopping with students. I just can’t express enough how much she means to me and to all our students and families.
On a very cool December afternoon, I was the only teacher outside to work the car pick up line. Laura, a classroom teacher, saw me running back and forth trying to do the jobs of three people due to my other teammates being absent. Laura came outside without a coat on and helped me. I want Laura to know how much I appreciated her help on that very cool afternoon! Mrs. Laura is awesome!

How?
I received a deck of 7 of Hearts cards from my Human Resource Director as part of a training offered to managers wanting to become better leaders and make a difference in the lives of our employees and patients. I hope to pass along these cards to people as I can to spread the message and encourage others to find greatness in family, friends and random people we meet everyday.
